The British Damage Management Association (BDMA) Conference 2022 takes place on the 29th and 30th June and the theme this year is The Roadmap to Sustainable Resilience.

Flood Doctor are proud to be headline sponsor at this event, with our Business Operations Manager Pat Nolan presenting on our drive towards sustainability on the 30th June.

Who is the British Damage Management Association?

The BDMA is the certifying body for damage management professionals, setting standards and providing training and accreditation for practitioners and others across the wider insurance industry who are involved in the recovery and restoration of damaged properties - https://bdma.org.uk/

Their mission is to represent the interests of their members, like Flood Doctor, who are working in the damage management industry. They provide education, training, technical support and advice on standards.

Becoming sustainable

The impact climate change is having on our planet is clear to see.

It is therefore becoming increasingly important for businesses to be aware of the impact they are having on the environment and what they can do about it.

In order to become sustainable, businesses need to deliver their products and services without negatively impacting the environment.

At Flood Doctor we are partnering with organisations to support us on our journey to sustainability. It is important for us to fully understand our carbon footprint and what effective changes we can put in place to combat this.

During his presentation, Pat will be sharing what we have discovered, along with the targets we have set ourselves and the action plan we have in place to achieve sustainability.

We look forward to sharing more of this with you in future articles.
