West London – Student Accommodation

A challenging project which required thinking "outside of the box." A significant amount of water appeared within the sub-floor void; we were instructed to mitigate the damage while the leak detection company was trying to pinpoint where the water is coming from.

There was only one catch..the students had to be able to continue using their rooms without any disruption. Because of this, we have decided to install only a minimal amount of equipment inside the building. The remaining equipment has been installed on the roof of the building with pipes running down the external walls and into the sub-floor void via core holes in the walls which had to be drilled at a specific angle and height.

On this occasion, we have used a combination of negative pressure to remove standing water and positive pressure to deliver dry, warm air into the sub-floor void.
